We looked at several student-created graphs and compared them to the standards Monroe teachers expect from their students. Most graphs we looked at had 3 or 4 of the required parts, and some had all 6. We made suggestions for how to improve each graph.
Next, we began graphing our data from the two "Heating Ice" experiments we conducted this week. Students created line graphs, and for this graph, we are practicing putting multiple sets of data on one graph. Because the data is related, students will need to include color when drawing in their data lines, and then add a key to the graph, telling what each color represents.
Tonight's Homework: None, but students were encouraged to finish at least half of their line graph so they would have less to do on Monday.
