Miss Brands returned to class a few minutes later than expected today, due to her field trip with the 7th graders. With this being so, 6th graders were introduced to writing procedures as a group activity. Groups were given the task of writing the steps of how to put one's shoes and socks on. After completing this task, Miss Brands followed the directions--boy, did she have problems completing such a simple task! We reviewed the importance of writing clear and concise directions, and making sure we use enough words to allow others to do what we really want them to do.
