We brainstormed different types of bodies of water that exist on our earth, and once we had a long list, sorted them into categories. We came up with saltwater, fresh water, frozen water, and groundwater. Students worked in groups to predict how much of the water was in each of these groups. We shared predictions and then compared them to the actual amounts (97% is saltwater!).
