Students corrected the questions from page 45, and then embarked on a Metamorphic Munchie adventure. After receiving a piece of a "geologically made" Rice Krispie treat, students observed the texture and composition of the sedimentary rock as it sat on a piece of foil. Students applied pressure to the "rock" and observed how the rock had changed. A stronger pressure was added to the "rock", and once again students recorded observable changes to the "rock". Students wrapped their "rocks" in foil, and the teacher said she was taking them home overnight to add heat to them (in the form of ironing them!!!). This activity will be continued in class tomorrow.
Tonight's Homework: Complete both sides of the worksheet you received in class today.
