Superposition, Uniformitarianism, Oh My!

Students reviewed the meaning of the penny flipping data we collected on Thursday, and related it to how scientists figure out the age of rock layers, fossils and other geologic evidence. Absolute and relative dating techniques will be the topic of tonight's homework.

We also went over key vocabulary relating to geologic processes. Although the words are long and somewhat difficult to pronounce, they really do make sense to what we experience in day to day life.

Tonight's Homework:
Read pages 64 - 67 and answer the questions on page 67.

P.S. Hi, George and Brody! Hope you are enjoying your vacations--it's cold, dark and rainy here in Eugene!
