Today, we had a special treat, in that the teacher brought in two batches of fudge. Each batch represented a particular type of igneous rock (intrusive and extrusive). Students observed and tasted each type of fudge, and determined, with a high degree of accuracy, the cooling rate of each type of fudge. Students seemed to enjoy eating their igneous "rock" samples.
