Students received their chapter 3 tests back today. We spent the bulk of the period learning about the different layers of the earth, and how scientists can classify the layers without actually digging deep enough to see or touch them. Studying the layers of the earth can be confusing because depending on what you're talking about, there are several ways to name some of the layers.
Tonight's Homework: Read pages 88 - 94, and answer the questions on page 94. In addition, finish the paragraphs you started in class about how the egg is a good model of the earth and how it is a poor model of the earth.
