Students received the first of 17 weekly grade slips they'll receive this semester. Most were pleased to see that they had a successful week last week.
We spent some time using the raisin data we collected last week to generate questions about how the number of raisins we found in Fred Meyer (yellow) boxes might compare to the number of raisins found in Sunmaid (red boxes) of raisins. We then made educated guesses (hypotheses) as to what the answer to the question might be. After opening 20 boxes of Sunmaid raisins, we found that most of the boxes had between 35 and 42 raisins, considerably more than what we found in the Fred Meyer boxes. This activity will continue on Tuesday.
Tonight's Homework: Get your grade slip signed by a parent and bring it to class on Tuesday. Also, please be sure to finish the 5 graphs of your data in your data tables we created last week.
