We finished our "It Floats, It Sinks" activity today, and checked our cube predictions by placing the cubes in water. Most students were able to correctly predict what each cube would do in water. We created a density "Go Ducks" column, using green water, cooking oil, and Karo syrup, and compared the densities of each liquid to what we've learned. We then started dropping objects from the "It Floats, It Sinks" activity into the column of liquid. It was fun to see things float at different levels!
