Finding the Density of Cubes

Students received weekly grade slips today. These may be signed by a parent and returned for credit on Tuesday, November 4th.

We learned how to determine the volume of a rectangular solid by using a mathematical formula. The formula is V = L x W x H. This gives you the volume in cubic centimeters. This was important today, as students were determining the mass and volume of 9 cubes made of different materials. The data was gathered in groups, and recorded in class. We will be using this information in class tomorrow.

Tonight's Homework: Make a final copy of your data. Include mass, volume and density for each of the cubes. This is due tomorrow. Remember to order your data!
