Continental Drift vs. Plate Tectonics

We continued our discussion about Pangaea and continental drift today. In doing so, we added to our puzzles and then turned them in. We discussed types of evidence scientists used to conclude that the continents are not stationary, including rock layer and fossil similarities as well as shapes of continents fitting together.

Tonight's Homework: Color the land and water areas on the map pieces and then cut them out. Create a rectangular map of the world. Glue this map down onto another piece of paper.
