Correlating Rock Layers from Outcrops

We corrected homework from the fossil reading, and then talked about what geologic columns were. Using pictures of 4 different rock outcrops, we worked as a class to correlate (or match) layers that where identical in composition and fossil content. In doing so, we were able to create a partial geologic column, showing all layers in one tall column.

Tonight's Homework:
Finish making the geologic column. Then answer questions 11, 12 and 14 (only) on the worksheet you received in class today.
