Melting Ice over the Bunsen Burner

Today, students conducted day three of our investigation on how the temperature of ice and water changes when heated with different heat sources. Today, we used the Bunsen burner as our heat source. Students recorded their data on the data table we created on Friday. Students began to set up their graphs for displaying the data, and will finish these tonight as homework.

Tonight's Homework: Finish the graph of your ice melting data for tomorrow. Be sure to follow the expectations listed on the yellow guidelines sheet.

For extra credit, you may write a report on the creator of the Bunsen burner, telling me in your own words when this person lived, where he lived and what other contributions this person made to the field of science. The extra credit is due to me by Tuesday, February 17th.
