More Raisins to Think About (and Eat!)

We continued our investigation about the number of raisins in mini-boxes of raisins by looking at a new brand of raisins. Today, we counted the number of raisins in Sun-Maid boxes, recorded the data, and placed the boxes on the existing bar graph on the board. To do this, we had to stack some of the boxes on top of the boxes already on the board, as the data overlapped. This allowed us to create a stack graph, showing information from two types of raisin companies on one graph.

Students noticed today's raisins were a bit larger, accounting for the general decrease in number of raisins found in the box.

Tonight's Homework: Create a stack graph of your data. Be sure to follow the guidelines and include a key!
