Three Types of Earthquake Waves

Students received their weekly grade slips today. We then talked about the three types of earthquake waves: primary, secondary and longitudinal, or surface waves. Students saw how each type of wave travels via a demonstration with a slinky. We took notes about the types of waves, so we can be better prepared for tonight's reading assignment.

Tonight's Homework: Read pages 120 - 125, and answer the questions on page 125. In addition, if you haven't answered the questions on the earthquake risk map worksheet, please do so tonight.
