Finding Fractions and Using the Scientific Method

Science
Today, we started using the scientific method to investigate the number of raisins in a mini-box of raisins. At first, student predictions were quite wide-ranging, but by the end of the class period, all guesses were in a very small range, which is proof that making educated guesses works. We created a data table recording the number of boxes having a particular number of raisins, and then built a physical graph on the white board, using the empty boxes of raisins. More on this tomorrow!

Math

We continued our work on finding fractions that exist between a given pair of fractions. We completed Investigation 2.4 in class.

Tonight's Homework:

Science--Get health letter signed, and create a bar graph of the raisin data we collected in class today.
Math--ACE 2 (24, 65, 66)
