Advertising and Looking at the Earth

Health
Students participated in a variety of activities related to advertising and its influences. Yellow Slick Tracy comic books were distributed to students. We reviewed the different activities students may opt to do with their Home Teams.

Math
We looked at a map of the world and tried to figure out how much of the world is land and how much is water. Using a gridded version of the map, we counted how many boxes of water (and partial boxes) and land in each column, and recorded this information on the worksheet that was provided to each student.

Tonight's Homework:
Health--Start working on the activities from this week's Slick Tracy comic book. Bring back your signed slip by Monday, October 24th.
Math--Complete the land and water grid that we started in class today.
