Subtracting with Time and More about Apples

Science
Once again, students recorded masses of their apples on their charts, and then updated their graphs with the data that was collected. Most are amazed at the differences they are seeing in the apples, both in mass and visual appearance.

Math

Students did well on the non base ten addition problems, so we attempted to subtract. Borrowing was the big stumbling block, but most students eventually figured this out. We worked with time and weight problems today.

Tonight's Homework:

Science--None!
Math--Complete the worksheet on Non Base Ten subtraction. Be sure to create two original problems, and include the answers.
