Calcium Chloride Warms Up the Classroom!

We created a student study guide for tomorrow's test. Most students claim they are ready to do well on the test. (I hope so!) We then learned how to convert temperatures from ˚C to ˚F by using a formula I gave them.

In science, we collected temperature information from adding calcium chloride to water. Most students were surprised to find the water got so much warmer. They learned that this chemical is commonly used in hand warmers.

Tonight's Homework:
Math--Convert the 6 temperatures from ˚C to ˚F, as shown in class. Study for your math test.

Science
--Make a line graph of your temperature data. Write an analysis for your experiment.
