Multiplying Decimals by Finding Factors

In Investigation 2.2, we looked at how to multiply fractions by using factors and then figured out where to place the decimal in the resulting product. We emphasized how multiplying decimals is like multiplying fractions with denominators that are multiples of ten. We also prepared for tomorrow's test over adding and subtracting decimal numbers.

Students who were caught up and current on their science work were allowed to play the "Go With the Flow" game on the computers. Students recorded their solutions to each of the puzzles on the worksheet packet they received today in class. (TH--please wait until you return before starting this assignment.)

Science
--Continue working on the "Go With the Flow" puzzles. The packet of completed work is due on Thursday, Feb. 2nd.
