Finding the savings from a "percent off" sale is a real-world math skill we should all master, as sales seem to be everywhere these days. Besides, who doesn't like a deal??
We used our math skills to figure both discounts and sales tax on things we like to buy. These problems require several steps, so organizing our thoughts and work will certainly keep us focused on the end result.
