Students began building a map of the world showing 7 of the major plates that glide over the asthenosphere. This map will be used in class on Thursday to look for patterns that exist between plate boundaries and catastrophic events (like earthquakes and volcanoes).
We reviewed last night's math homework, and then started on the reflections for Investigation 5. Students had about 25 minutes to get started on work that was assigned, and many got most of their math or their science work done.
Tonight's Homework:
Math--BP III, page 75 (1-4) and page 78 (3-5).
Science--Create a rectangular map of the world from the puzzle pieces you received in class today and glue them down. Complete the selected problems from the "Earthly Anagrams" worksheet. Be prepared for tomorrow's quiz over the layers of the earth.
