Fractions and Decimal Conversions and Honing Observational Skills

Students practiced their observation skills today during the clay impressions activity. Most students made excellent observations, and though some guesses may not have been correct, they were reasonable and good possibilities. For math, students reviewed how to convert a decimal number to a fraction as well as how to convert a fraction to a decimal number. We didn't use complicated examples, but don't worry . . . those are coming!

Math--Bits and Pieces 1 page 69 and 70, problems 1 and 2.
