Today, we spent the majority of both periods working on our science skills of hypothesizing and data collecting. Students predicted how many raisins they would find in a box of raisins, and then using the data they collected, predicted how many raisins they would find in subsequent boxes of raisins. Data was collected and a graph of the results was created on the whiteboard in the classroom. Students were introduced to what a stacked bar graph looks like, and then were asked to construct one.
Tonight's Homework:
Math--None.
Science--Finish the stack graph for your raisin data. Find the mean, median, mode and range for the red box data, the purple box data and all of the combined data.
