We started our study of fractions and decimals using the new book, "Bits and Pieces II". Using an apple, students were able to view the earth as a series of fractions, representing various things, like the amount of the earth covered by water, covered with land, and the amount of the earth that is suitable for farming. Using the data, students constructed a data table and started to transform the data into a circle graph.
Tonight's Homework:
Math--ACE 1 ( 1 - 26, FCO, and 28 - 30 )
Science--Finish the circle graph for the "Earth as Apple" activity.
