Students were introduced to summary statements today. Our focus today was taking what's shown on a circle graph to make summary statements that include simple or common fractions. For instance, stating something like "about 1/4 of the world is covered with land" or "just over 2/3 of the world is covered by water" are desirable summary statements.

Math--ACE 4 (22-25, 40-44)
Science--Finish your Surf 'n Sand Count circle graph. Be sure to include a title, key, and summary statements about the graph, using common fractions.
