In today's activity, each group worked with one of the following liquids: corn syrup, rubbing alcohol, vegetable oil, baby oil and vinegar. The task for each group was to determine the mass of 6 different volumes of the given liquid. After all data was collected, students formed new groups and shared their data with other members of the new group. By the end of class, students were asked to compute the density of each volume of each liquid, and then find the average density of each liquid.
Tonight's Homework:
Math--Complete the computations for the density of each liquid, and for the average density of each liquid.
Science--None, if you finished recording the data you and your classmates collected in class today.
