Students learned how to use displacement to find the volume of objects that are not rectangular solids. Since the density of water is 1 gram/ml,when you put something into a container of water, the volume is equal to the change in the water level, measured in milliliters. Students worked in groups to find the mass and volume of 9 different objects, and recorded this information in well-labeled data table.
Tonight's Homework:
Math--Compute the density of each of the 9 objects you measured the mass and volume of in class today. Be sure to show your work. Lastly, remember that you'll be taking a test over decimal multiplication and division in class on Friday.
Science--Be ready to turn in your data table at the beginning of class tomorrow.
