We learned how to transform information from our water contour lines into actual pictures of our mountain today. We drew a transversal line, made tick marks, and then transferred the information from the tick marks into a graph. Students made 4 different profile sketches of their mountain, and analyzed their results. In math, we reviewed how to solve problems using percent. In some situations, we discovered that it might be easier to convert the decimal to an equivalent fraction and then solve the problem.
Tonight's Homework:
Math--Home Book, pages 80 and 81 (not problem 13).
Science--Finish making a total of 4 profiles of the "wet mountain" if you did not do so in class today.
