Submerging a Plastic Mountain with Colored Water is FUN!!!

In order to learn about contour lines, students worked in groups and poured water into a plastic box, 1 cm at a time, drawing lines showing the points of contact between the water and the model mountain after each increment of water. This allowed students to create a map of the model. This new type of data will be used tomorrow in class. For math, we continued working with finding percentages.
