Students wrote vocabulary terms related to the earthquake vocabulary in chapter 5 onto their foldables today. These may help students as they prepare for the chapter 5 test, which will be given next week.
We practiced making circles with our compasses, and will continue to use compasses on Thursday as we discover how P and S wave arrival times help scientists determine the distance a given place is from the epicenter of an earthquake. The focus of an earthquake was also discussed today.
Tonight's Homework: Read section 2 of chapter 5 in your book and answer the questions.
