In science, we did an activity called "Walk the Line" to prepare students for information they will receive on Thursday from guest presenters. Students used this activity as a springboard for learning how to write complete and concise procedures. We wrote the procedure for part 1 in class, and then shared our attempts with each other. In math, we continued with adding and subtracting fractions, focussing on how to do this with mixed numbers. Students were urged to look for ways to report their answers in simplest terms.
Tonight's Homework:
Math--Page 31 in the Bits and Pieces 2 book. Also, do both sides of the worksheet you received in class today.
Science--Write a procedure for completing part two of our "Walk the Line" activity.
